Senior Graphic Designer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to cover a ​12 ​month maternity leave contract to keep our design wheels u-turning and reverse parking with the perfect shade of peach. This role requires someone available for an August/September start.

And we really like creating fun, playful content that delights our consumer.

The Senior Graphic Designer is a key role in the marketing team at Gro-To, Bro-To and Go-To. You will create digital and printed assets across all brands. You will design and deliver mobile first, responsive designs and ensure products, packaging, imagery, social, communications, video and marketing assets are clever, delightful, on-brand and innovative. You will have a saved Instagram folder that impresses all of us.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the established innovative, unique and much-loved Gro-To, Bro-To and Go-To look-and-feel is successfully implemented across all digital, social, motion and print collateral.
  • Creative should delight, excite, be fresh and pixel-perfect.
  • Problem-solving, designing and executing cut-through multi-platform design solutions. Creating engaging EDMs and designing relevant, fun and delightful content to be published on social media and digital channels (paid and organic). Including but not limited to resizing of existing assets, designing and creating new assets, creation of GIFs and MP4s.
  • Solving, designing and executing pixel-perfect multi-platform solutions, translating complex concepts and ideas into visual representations, including mock-ups and detailed designs.
  • Assist with the roll-out of brand identity across all mediums working across design, layout, finished art, POS, in-store, promotions, campaign creative, catalogues, e-commerce, digital design, UI/UX and social media.
  • Ensuring all content meets the brief, is innovative, on-brand visually and embody the brands style and personality.
  • Working independently as well as collaboratively with the marketing team and broader Go-To team on a variety of projects.
  • Understand and work within project parameters: brand goals and requirements, usability, technical constraints, as well as budget and schedules.
  • Working with the Design, Marketing and Digital teams to constantly improve the production process.

 

About You

Tertiary education with formal design qualifications and 5+ years relevant experience

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects to completion on time and within budget
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and creation of graphical artwork and layouts for presentation and marketing material including:
    • packaging and promotional
    • material imagery and objects
    • social media and website graphics and animations
  • Demonstrated experience applying creative flair to the development of unique and innovative packaging solutions in the fashion/lifestyle/beauty industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in multiple creative mediums including: digital design, copy, marketing, copywriting, photography, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Wizmigooha
  • Demonstrated web design experience
  • Demonstrated experience in making GIFs
  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing, promotion and social media technique
  • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
  • Highly proficient in all design aspects
  • Ability to supply print-ready finished art
  • Image retouching and deep etching skills
  • Animation skills desirable
  • Strong conceptual design skills
  • Video editing
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills

This role is full-time and based in Sydney. (Flexible WFH policy, obviously. It’s 2021.)

Salary is TBC depending on experience.

UX/UI Designer

And we really like connecting with our friends on the internet.

The UX/UI Designer is a key role in the marketing team at Go-To, Bro-To and Gro-To. You will be responsible for understanding the online customer and their changing needs and behaviours. You will create amazing customer experiences and design beautiful interfaces for all owned digital channels. You will be obsessed with problem-solving and always have the customer front of mind. You will never say “that’s too much peach”.

Responsibilities

  • To conceive and design engaging and consistent user interfaces that truly reflect the overall brand vision
  • Contribute to the delivery of digital user experience that support and connects customer needs with business goals and objectives
  • Communicate, defend, and build consensus around UI solutions and architecture
  • Development of UX strategy & digital design guidelines
  • Development and maintenance of a design system that includes style guides, template pattern & component libraries
  • Ensuring consistency in the way the Go-To, Gro-To and Bro-To branding is represented on all digital channels
  • Be an advocate for the user, and use the UX Process/HCD methodologies to problem solve, and find creative solutions to collect and synthesize customer feedback.
  • Utilise qualitative and quantitative insights into online user behaviour to translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Create and deliver polished UI designs and mockups optimised for a range of devices.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to the development team and oversee the implementation of those designs through testing all the way to final deployment.
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions, using data to help inform design decisions.
  • Keep abreast of new design trends, technology and emerging UI patterns

 

About You

  • User Interface design qualification and 3 to 5 years related work experience.
  • Demonstrated industry experience in managing and executing consumer facing interface design work
  • Experience designing for E-commerce sites is essential (Shopify experience highly regarded)
  • Passion for elegant, simple and innovative designs with an excellent portfolio of design solutions across a spectrum of devices and services
  • Ability to create rapid prototypes and conduct user testing
  • Has some basic familiarity with Google Analytics, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and heatmaps with a view to its use in design and analytical measurement
  • Experience in in A/B and/or multivariate testing, Test and Learn approaches to conversion optimisation is desirable
  • Experience conducting user research, user centred design and user testing techniques
  • Experience with project & task management online systems (Asana or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects, tasks and priorities
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills
  • Passion for emerging digital design trends
