What Are Micro-Dart Pimple Patches?
Micro-dart pimple patches rely on the same base technology as your regular pimple patch: Hydrocolloid.
You might recognise the word ‘hydrocolloid’ from your first aid kit. It’s a type of wound dressing with a unique gel-like texture that creates a hygienic environment to help the skin heal. Most pimple patches borrow this type of treatment—swapping the bandaid-sized strips for a spot-sized shape.
In the case of a micro-dart patch, dozens of tiny darts level up the typical hydrocolloid patch. These are tiny needle-like points that are made from solidified skincare ingredients and designed to dissolve within the skin to help treat deep, early-stage pimples.
How Do Micro-Dart Pimple Patches Work?
The general gist of micro-dart pimple patches is the same as your typical ones. They provide a hygienic, protective layer that helps support your skin’s recovery that keeps the area free of bacteria or picking fingers.

Salicylic acid: An oil-soluble BHA that helps penetrate congested pores, dissolve excess sebum, and clear the build-up contributing to the blemish.

When To Use A Micro-Dart Pimple Patch?
When your pimple is still lurking under the surface of your skin. Early Bird is your pre-Spot Stoppas patch—ready to intervene early before your pimple gets any ideas.
Simply apply to clean, dry skin. Press gently for 1–2 seconds to stick over the blemished area. Leave on for a minimum of 2 hours and up to 8 hours.
